The former Hofbrauhaus in downtown St. Pete could be transformed into a massive food hall. The St. Pete Catalyst reports that Nuri Erol purchased the space in a $7.1 million deal.
Erol operates multiple Wiseguy Pizzerias and envisions transforming the multi-level restaurant space into an expansive, 17,000-square-foot food hall.

The space at 123 4th St S was originally the Tramor Cafeteria. The self-proclaimed largest and finest cafeteria in Florida served over 5,000 meals daily. The original interior offered a tropical Spanish atmosphere with orchestral music and entertainment. The concept originally opened in 1930, and at one point was used as a cafeteria for staff by the Tampa Bay Times.
In 2015, Hofbrauhaus took over and turned the space into a sprawling German Beer Hall.
Official plans for the space, including potential food hall vendors, and opening timeline are still TBA.
