Fo’Cheezy Twisted Meltz to serve free grilled cheeses to service industry workers every Friday

Fo’Cheezy Twisted Meltz, a restaurant/food truck concept from renowned Chef Robert Hesse, just announced it would serve FREE grilled cheeses from 3-5pm every Friday until service industry workers and musicians/artists are back on their feet post COVID-19 pandemic.

Fo’Cheezy Twisted Meltz Food Truck is set up outside Mastry’s Brewing at 7701 Blind Pass Rd. You can get your twisted melt fix to-go (pickup or delivery) from 11am-10pm.

“Come down to Mastry’s Brewing Co from 3-5 THIS FRIDAY and EVERY FOLLOWING FRIDAY until restaurants are able to re-open and you are able to return to work and we will buy you lunch!” Hesse wrote in a Facebook post on Fo’Cheezy’s page“We will be giving away our signature Triple O.G. Meltz to all service industry people that want to come by. It’s our way of saying thanks for the hard work you put in on a daily basis that is generally unappreciated and overlooked by the public. Just a little love can go a long way… We hope to see you all here!” 

Giving back to the service industry peeps!

This Friday we are giving the love back! In the last couple days, we have received a lot of messages from local musician friends and friends in the service industry saying that they would love to come down and support but don't have the means to do so because of the financial stress this situation is causing. So my partner and I have decided to do something about that. Fo’Cheezy will also give service industry workers a Melt Mob card on Friday that will give them 10% off all future purchases.

Hesse also serves as the executive chef of of the forthcoming foodie haven Social Roost in downtown St. Petersburg.

Chef helping new restaurant in downtown St. Petersburg

Social Roost is set to be an exquisite chicken-centric  concept from Rob Bowen and Jason Teabout in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg. Hesse is currently on the hunt for the next great chef in Tampa Bay to take over once his time with the restaurant is done. Basically, Hesse is Bruce Wayne during the day with Social Roost, and Batman in the evening with Fo’Cheezy.

Hesse has already made it his mission to give back to the community. The two-time Hell’s Kitchen competitor, and Food Network Star wants his concept to pay it forward. Chef Robert Hesse plans to donate 2% of all gross sales to troubled youth of the greater Tampa Bay Area as part of his No Child 86’d initiative.

Introducing dessert dough boys

Tasty menu options include dessert dough boys like the Damn Skippy. Sink you teeth into Captain Crunch crusted PBNJ sammie deep fried and tossed in donut churro sugar. The treat is served with Banana Pudding dip.

Hesse has already teased a few of the savory melts diners can expect. A giant Cuban War Pig Melt pays homage to the Tampa Bay area’s favorite treat. A Skrimp Pimp Melt brings tasty shrimp to the pressed sandwich fray.

Addictive additions to the menu include bacon dog pops, waffle crispy chicken tenders, and Fo’Cheezy Mac.

Crafting chef-inspired comfort food 

The goal is to create chef-inspired comfort food. Hesse wants to be a trendsetter in the culinary world with its innovate “Not Yo Mama’s” melts.
