BLTs and buckets of beer, anyone? One of our favorite downtown outposts for good drinks and eats is getting ready to open its third location, this one in Seminole at 7498 Seminole Boulevard. In an announcement on facebook, the sports bar and grill said the grand opening will be February 1.
Five Bucks got its start in downtown St. Pete and has been a go-to for years. The popular bar and grill recently added a second location, opening in Pinellas Park back in the summer.

The consistent theme at both of the new locations is a great one: tons of room. While we love DTSP, having room to spread out, enjoy food, watch games, and hang with big groups is certainly a nice upside with these larger restaurants.
As I Love the Burg writer (and Eckerd Grad) Andrew Harlan pointed out in his article on the Five Bucks expansion, you’re missing out if you only think of Five Bucks as a spot for drinks and sports on TV. “Don’t sleep on the food offerings at this hub,” he said when writing about the time spent downtown in his college years. “The Thai Chili Chicken Tacos, backyard BBQ burger, and the signature stacked chicken sandwich are all pub food royalty. The Reese’s PB Pie is also a high quality sweet treat when the munchies hit.”
