Fish Taco, Craft Beer Spot Opening on 4th Street

While the dowtown area of the Burg is flush with foodie options, the long stretch of 4th Street has quickly multiplied its roster of dining destinations. Jimmy Hula's has just announced that it will open a new location at 8123 4th Street North in the former "Sloppy Pelican" spot. Jim Hartman opened the first Jimmy Hula's in Winter Park in March of 2011.

There are currently eight locations throughout Florida with four more in the works — 4th Street included. The restaurant that boasts 'the best' fish tacos in the state will open inside a 4,000+ square foot space. The spot features ample indoor and outdoor seating with a large bar area. The restaurant is famous for their voodoo sauce and ample fish taco varieties — their pineapple mango salsa is a choice companion.

For those looking for a quick meal the restaurant also offers your garden variety taco shop options with a few twists, like their bbq pork with mac n' cheese, and steak chimichurri tacos. The fire roasted avocado dip with sriacha is known as a staple appetizer for first time customers. Jimmy Hula's also offers a wide variety of sandwiches, bowls, burgers, fries, greens and a kid's menu.

Once open, the pet-friendly restaurant will also feature a full liquor bar and a large selection of craft beer. The food nirvana spot hasn't yet announced an opening date. You can follow them on Facebook for updates.
