I Love the Burg’s first Supper Club meet-up comes to Edge Eatery this Friday

I Love the Burg’s first Supper Club meet-up comes to Edge Eatery this Friday

The interior of Edge Eatery

For the first time ever, I Love the Burg’s Supper Club is hosting a community meet-up. This Friday, August 26, we’re inviting everyone who also loves the Burg to join us at The Edge Eatery and District Lounge for some Friday happy hour food and drinks. The meet-up will run from 5-7 pm, inside the new Edge Eatery food hall at 1572 Central Avenue.

As part of the festivities, anyone coming to the meet-up can enjoy 20% off their tab (including most food items), and all I Love the Burg MORE members can get the signature cocktail for free. In fact, that signature cocktail is the first to be named for us, the I Love the Burg now available at District Lounge, a tropical and tequila-filled delight.

The meet-up is inspired by the St. Pete Supper Club, a facebook group we created in the spring of 2020 meant to connect people digitally in the early days of covid, as well as help locals find new restaurants to try out. Today, the Supper Club has more than 5,000 members, and this meet-up is the first event to bring people together in person.

However, the meet-up isn’t limited to just Supper Club or I Love the Burg MORE members. We want anyone who loves St. Pete (and happy hours) to stop in, say hi, see some old faces, and meet a few new ones, as well. Plus, it’s a great chance to try out one of the hottest new spots in the Burg. Edge Eatery showcases four different dining concepts (including a Cuban sandwich that’s up there for best in St. Pete) and a beautiful listening-room style lounge, all under one roof.

I Love the Burg MORE offers new experiences for locals

Earlier this summer, we also launched our first-ever membership program, I Love the Burg MORE. The idea is to help people get more out of living in St. Pete, by providing opportunities to try new places and activities that they might not have otherwise. The goal is also to help local businesses connect with people living in town, without having to break the bank on advertising.

Membership costs $12.99 per month, or $99 for an annual membership, and new offers are added every month. For example, there are nine offers available to members right now, totaling more than $150 in value. And the best part is, there’s something for everyone, from sports and outdoor activities to new restaurants and area festivals.

Offers currently include things like $10 off your bill at Jay Luigi, a free pint or flight of beer at 3 Daughters Brewing, $15 off a kayak or canoe rental from ECOmersion, free admission to The Florida Aquarium, and 40% off a ticket to the upcoming St. Pete Anime festival. And of course, members can redeem a free I Love the Burg cocktail at District Lounge any time. (Though we’d of course love for you to choose this Friday, if you’re free!)

We’ve discovered many people like to join in tandem with a friend or partner, so they can try new things together. And with new offers rolling on every month, you’ll never run out of things to do. If you’re interested, you can find all the info at more.ilovetheburg.com.
