Pinellas Park is no stranger to hidden gems, and now there’s a new one to add to your list. Fat Cat Pizza + Dogs recently made its debut at 6175 Park Blvd, dishing up some of the most creative pizza, hot dogs, and sandwiches in the area.
Taco pizzas, hot honey chicken parm sandwiches, “Backyard BBQ” hot dogs, fried mini meatballs, pepperoni pasta salad – and we haven’t even gotten into the possibilities on the build-your-own pies and dogs. Stick around for dessert and you can try out the deep-fried apple pie or the “crispy banana coins,” fried banana slices tossed in a warm maple glaze, cinnamon sugar, and toasted coconut. Yes, please.

Fat Cat, which officially debuted in March, is the former home of Original Pizza II. In its new era, Fat Cat places an emphasis on quality just as much as creativity. Using fresh dough and real ingredients, the pizzeria promises “pizza worth sharing and dogs worth ordering twice.” In fact, you can do just that with their BYO double-dog deal: two dogs loaded up your way for 14 bucks.
Where possible, Fat Cat showcases housemade ingredients, too. The hand-rolled meatballs are a family recipe passed down for generations with a specialty red sauce. The Philly cheesesteak comes with a housemade cheese sauce. Even the classic chili dog features the special housemade chili.
While we appreciate the creativity (the queso base on the taco pizza is a nice touch), there are plenty of standard options available, as well. Classic pepperoni. Oven-baked cheesy garlic bread. A sausage and pepper roll. Plus, they have vegan dogs and dairy-free cheese pizza, and they even offer maple-glazed brussels sprouts for those in search of something not completely heart-attack-inducing.
