Empty Bowls is a worldwide grassroots movement to create awareness of food insecurity and raise money for local charities that fight hunger in their local communities. Every dollar raised at Empty Bowls goes to ending hunger and homelessness across our community. The event is set for April 13 from noon-4pm at Coastal Creative (2201 1st Ave S). Single tickets are $25 and can be reserved online.

According to recent statistics, approximately 13% of the country’s population experiences food insecurity. This translates to over 150,000 individuals who do not have consistent access to enough nutritious food.
