December Forecast: It’s going to snow in St. Pete

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Yes, you heard us, it’s going to snow in the Burg this December. Don’t worry, you won’t need gloves or a jacket to enjoy the winter wonderland. We are of course talking about Snowfest.

On Saturday, December 1, the city is bringing out the snow machines to crank up a winter flurry in North Straub Park. The event takes place from 10am-3pm at the waterfront park.

There will be activities for all ages that include a toboggan slide, an art tent, karaoke, moonwalk, Kiddyland area designed specifically for preschools with an inflatable train and more.

Does Snowfest cost anything? Yes, entry costs just $5 and all of the activities are included with the price of admission. Tickets can be purchased in advance beginning November 19. Visit St. Pete Parks and Recreation’s website for full details.

Where is North Straub Park located? North Straub Park is located at 400 Bayshore Drive Northeast, right next to the Museum of Fine Arts downtown.
