Community Cafe announces farewell party, and move to a new location

In November, Community Cafe owners announced that the shop would be leaving its current location. While we’re sad to see the food and art hub leave its Grand Central District home, we’re happy to hear it’ll set roots elsewhere in the Sunshine City. The exact location is still TBA, but they should open in the new spot by early January 2020.

Community Cafe is being forced out of its location, according to the owners. Located at 2444 Central Avenue, the vegan eats hotspot has long been a staple gathering place in St. Pete. From mini art exhibitions, to live music performance from emerging St. Pete artists, to a popular Drag Show Story Hour, Community Cafe always activated our local arts scene.

See you soon, not goodbye to Community Cafe

We anticipate they’ll do the same in their new home, wherever it is in the ‘Burg.

The farewell festivities will include live music, raffles, discounts on Community Cafe’s delicious food, and more.

8 music acts are set to perform between December 28 and December 29. Community Cafe is currently running a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for its move/setup of the new location. You can learn more by viewing the campaign online.

No official word yet on what will replace Community Cafe.
