Burg Bits: Wine by the Sip, Club Changes Hands & Folding Bikes To-Go

Burg Bits: Wine by the Sip, Club Changes Hands & Folding Bikes To-Go

Try Wine: Taste Three-Figure Bottles for Just Dollars
TryWine is a new retail/tasting concept in St. Pete conceived by owner Oliver Motschmann. "I could talk your ear off with the minutiae of wine and what goes into making it or what separates the bold and the decadent from the bottom shelf. I could tell you the glass to use for reds or use silly ascribers like earthy or fruity to detail the flavor but when it comes down to it, you just have to taste the wine," says Oliver.

"The bottle is an extension of the winemaker. From the label design to the price, from the name to the climate the grapes were grown in, everything on the shelf is a symphony composed of subtlety. A good wine will effect all your senses to the point where you'll have tasted an entire glass before you take your first sip."

TryWine gives you an in-house charge card to use at any of the several wine dispensing machines. Each machine offers three different glass sizes to accommodate all appetites and preferences. You can move through a spectrum of reds that range from $50 to $100 bottles and still be able to break a single Lincoln by the end of your journey. Indulge your curiosity minus the  at TryWine. Open Tue-Thu 12-9pm, Fri 12-11pm, Sat 1-11pm, Sun 1-7pm. TryWine 110 1st St N.

PUSH Under New Management
The popular PUSH Ultra Lounge in downtown will be under new management soon. Owner Matt Donahue expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of the burgeoning Burg scene. "[I] would like to say thank you to all of you. Without the support of the community there would not be a PUSH Lounge or any of those memories that we all share and laugh about. We had great successes together and this new group will have many more."

The soon to open Two Fold Bicycle Shop will provide the Burg population with bicycles that recede into themselves and can fit in a backpack. You may remember owner Michael Davis from his old shop 66 Fixed. Two Fold Bicycle Shop opened its doors on Friday to give locals and media alike a sneak peek at their store.
