Major Changes In Store For The Rowdies

This morning Bill Edwards, principal owner of the Tampa Bay Rowdies, announced a huge change in the squads dynamic. Farrukh Quraishi has been named the new President and General Manager of the team. Quraishi is a 3-time All-American college soccer star and in 1974 was the winner of the Hermann Trophy.

Quraishi began his professional soccert career with the Rowdies back in 1975. That season he was named to the NASL All Star First Team. Quraishi was a pivotal part of the Rowdies Soccer Bowl Championship team.

Edwards and Quraishi are focused on reviving the championship spirit in the Rowdies locker room. Behind Edwards and Quraishi, construction ensues to provide the ultimate fan experience at Al Lang. No Rowdies game is complete without a "W" carved at the end of the night. Last season the banners at Al Lang read "In Bill We Trust." With that trust comes the conviction that Quraishi's experience and cerebral understanding of soccer will turn the Burg's soccer team into undeniable champions.

The rowdies also announced that head coach Ricky hill will not be returning for the 2015 season. A new head coach will be named at a later date.
