The shop also serves fair trade, eco friendly coffee.

Their rotating list of drink specials have featured banana caramel lattes and vanilla strawberry frappes. For those looking for a morning boost, Slate Door also serves some fantastic homemade doughnuts. They're open Monday through Friday, from 6am to 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday, from 8am to 5pm. Urban Creamery Sets Opening Date

St. Pete residents have been eagerly awaiting the opening of Urban Creamery, the fourth Urban Brand concept created by Andy Salyards. Urban Creamery, located at 689 Central Avenue, will serve a rotating list of handmade ice creams, along with fresh Belgian yeast waffles and milkshakes. Salyards announced that the concept will officially open Thursday, March 31 at 4pm. Urban Creamery has already made small debuts to much fanfare. Earlier in March they served a limited number of free scoops to eager visitors.

The 750 square foot ice cream shop will feature indoor and outdoor seating (40 seats total) and will have a list of 6 unique ice cream flavors. Two that have our attention are the Sea Salt Chocolate Chip and Honey Thyme Lavender flavors.

In the same fashion that their Provisions concept distributes meats, grains and sides to Urban Comfort and Urban Brew & BBQCreamery will provide desserts for both restaurants. Speculative hours are Thursday: 4 to 9pm, Friday: 2 to 10pm, Saturday: noon to 10pm and Sunday: noon to 7pm. Stay tuned to their Facebook page for updates.

Sly Bar will continue to experiment with different menu items. If you're in need of good craft beer, live music, an award-winning trivia night, standup comedy, poetry, sultry piano music and damn good food, we suggest you put Sly Bar on your "must visit" list. Sly Bar, 2061 Central Avenue.
