Raise the flags, fire the cannons, and … break out your swimsuit? Hosted at TradeWinds Islands Resorts, the 4th annual Bucs Beach Bash is a weekend-long party in the sand to celebrate the start of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers season this weekend.
The family-friendly event takes place September 8-10, as the Bucs open their season on the road against the Minnesota Vikings. Fans can party like a pirate all weekend long with live music, corn hole tournaments, poolside parties, Bucs Watch Party and Kid Zone, plus fan favorites like the Buccaneers Cheerleaders, Captain Fear, pirates, and the Buccaneers Street Team.

The events begin Friday, September 8, with country headliner David Nail (8 pm) and supporting act Chas Collins (5:30 pm) performing on the beach, along with a cornhole tournament where the winner receives two tickets to a Buccaneers football game. Saturday’s festivities continue to ramp up with all-day fun in the Bucs Activity Zone with appearances from Bucs mascot Captain Fear and the Buccaneers Cheerleaders, plus contests, giveaways, inflatable games and more. A second cornhole tournament takes place with the winner receiving four invites to the “Gameday Getaway.” Saturday also features a concert on the beach featuring Austin Snell and country music superstar Dylan Marlowe.
Sunday’s schedule brings out the ultimate Sunday Funday as guests watch the season opener at 1 pm when the Bucs take on Minnesota on huge outdoor screens. A live DJ, contest and happy hour specials round out the football-filled weekend.
The Bucs Beach Bash events are free and open to the public, though Tradewinds is also offering special two-night VIP hotel packages as the Official Beach Resort of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The VIP packages include accommodations at a discounted rate; access to the VIP Lounge for the Friday and Saturday night concerts and the Sunday gameday watch party; Sunday Tailgate all-you-can-eat buffet on the beach; 50 percent off two entries into the corn hole tournament; a Buccaneers swag bag; and the nightly resort amenity fee that includes one parking pass, one beach cabana and more.
