The St. Pete Police Department announced that it would be closing Bayshore Drive N.E. to car traffic from Central Avenue to 5th Avenue N.E. on Christmas Day.
The closure will last from 5pm-10pm.

As an avid runner, and someone who takes that route every single morning, I can say I’m grateful for the closure.

With heightened traffic for the holidays, and the surging popularity of the activated Pier, it makes sense the SPPD would want to make that waterfront stretch pedestrian-friendly.
