Good news for those who live or work around Gulfport – quick, convenient, and local coffee has arrived. Annex Coffee House is now open at 5133 Gulfport Blvd South, bringing drive-thru java to one of the neighborhood’s busier corridors.

The new coffee shop promises “quick and delightful” coffee drinks, using locally roasted Kahwa coffee and espresso beans. Annex officially opened last week and is now serving up the good stuff seven days a week. For now, they are open 6 am – 6 pm on weekdays and 8 am – 6 pm on weekends.

In addition to coffee and espresso-based hot and cold drinks, Annex has a well-thought-out food menu to help fuel the day in every possible way. The building provides ample space for them to create a range of goodies, and the kitchen is churning out a wide array of fresh-made breakfast sandwiches, baked goodies, and even fruit smoothies.

“Our mission is to provide locals with fast, reliable and delicious locally brewed coffee, which will set the tone for their day,” the coffee shop said in a facebook post. “We want to be the reason people smile.”

Speaking of drive-thru coffee and Kahwa-roasted beans, locals who live on the opposite end of town will soon have a new neighborhood drive-thru, as well. Kahwa Coffee is nearing completion of its new café on 4th St N – a drive-thru or walk-up shop built entirely from repurposed shipping containers.
