“It’s been 5 years since we started this little bagel shop…Thanks to this amazing community, we’ve grown so much!” wrote the owners in an Instagram announcement back in January. “We are so excited to say that we are opening a brand new bagel production space…We’ll be improving our efficiency and speed which only means one thing: MORE BAGELS!”

According to the The Gabber Article, Pete’s has utilized the larger Gulfport facility to expand its bagel production. Pete’s owner Steve Peterman told The Gabber they can bake as many as 2,000 bagels in a single day on the weekend. The Gulfport grab-and-go bagel shop will offer coffee drinks, as well as bagels with cream cheese. The popular bagel sandwiches won’t be on the menu at this location though.
Pete’s Gulfport space will also have coffee from Look Alive Coffee at the pickup window. Look Alive Coffee Roaster is new to the ‘Burg, and its roastery is located at 1920 1/2 1st Ave S.
New drive-thru bagel shop in the works
Pete’s is also opening a new drive-thru bagel and coffee shop at corner of 4th St S and 25th Avenue S. It will take over the oldest gas station in St. Pete just outside the Old Southeast neighborhood.
