Roser Park is one of the most stunning neighborhoods in St. Pete. The beautiful brick streets, serene Booker Creek, captivating homes, and public art give Roser Park its eclectic identity. During Halloween, the neighborhood goes all out with music, ghost tours, and activities for the whole family. Roser Park has that same energy for the holiday season, and it’s channeled into the luminaries.
Bring some hot cocoa and stroll down Roser Park Drive to appreciate the flickering lights of the luminaries and the natural beauty of Booker Creek on December 23 from 5pm-9pm. You can find the entrance to the neighborhood at 901 9th Street S. Caroling is greatly encouraged by the event organizers.

Roser Park is steeped in local history
The 270-acre district is bounded by 4th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street (9th St. S.). to the east and west, and by Booker Creek and Ingleside Avenue (12th Avenue South) to the north and south. The first residential subdivision to be established outside of the downtown St. Petersburg business district, Roser Park was an early “streetcar suburb” conveniently located along the downtown trolley line and is listed on the National Register for its significance in community planning and development, architecture, and landscape architecture, according to the neighborhood association.
The district retains many of its other original design features, including rusticated block retaining walls, brick streets, original hexagon sidewalk pavers, and granite curbstones. Roser Park’s neighborhood association, HRPNA, is working hard to restore other original and period features, such as vintage street lighting and signage.
You can learn more about Roser Park on the neighborhood’s website.
