One of Pinellas Park’s most popular annual events is making its return this fall. On Saturday, November 5, the Pinellas Park Public Works BBQ Cook-Off and Rodeo will be held from 12-10 pm at England Brothers Park, bringing a full day of family-friendly activities to the city.
The sprawling event takes on a festival feel, complete with carnival games, rides, fireworks, local vendors, live music, arts and crafts, and plenty more. That is in addition, of course, to the big stars of the event: two different rodeos, and the BBQ cook-off.

The rodeos, and the entire event, are free to attend and open to all ages. The cook-off pits amateur cooks against each other in two categories, pork butts and ribs. (More like Pinellas Pork, amirite?) For those who just want to eat, BBQ plates prepared by the competitors will be available for purchase, as well as cold drinks and beer.
Proceeds from food and drink sales will benefit Boys & Girls Club, Kiwanis Club, and People Helping People – a local charitable organization that helps residents who are elderly, disabled or incapacitated on fixed incomes with yardwork or minor repairs to their property.
Cook-off awards will be presented at 12:30. Rodeos take place at 1 pm and 5:30 pm. Fireworks will end the festival at 9:30 pm. England Brothers Park is located at 5010 81st Avenue North. More information on the BBQ cook-off and rodeo can be found here.
