Love Food Central

2057 Central Avenue

Love is in the name, and in the recipes. Seriously, the Key Lime Pie is PHENOMENAL, FANTASTIC, AMAZING! Apologies for the all caps, but I wanted to get my point across. The local owned vegan + gluten-free cafe offers delicious bagels, and arguably the best vegan burger in the entire region. But the dessert counter is what brings me back. The Red Velvet Beet Cake, the peanut butter pie, the exceptional chocolate chip cookies, and the exquisite Key Lime Pie are what I crave all day every day. I can’t celebrate this local gem enough.

Craft Kafé

200 Central Avenue

Gluten-free folks know the drill, Craft Kafé is the go-to spot for decadent chocolate on chocolate whoopie pies. They’ve also made some of our favorite holiday pies like pumpkin and apple. Seriously, you can’t go wrong with any of their baked goods. OH and their brioche buns are divine. Okay, now we’re hungry.

Deep. Fried. Pie. We repeat: Deep fried pie. Funky Sweets is home to some of the most wild desserts in the Burg. You want a bucket of donuts? You can get them here. Want funnel cake covered in ice cream? You got it. Fried Oreos? Eat to your hearts desire. AND fried pie? Yea, that’s on the menu, in addition to fried cheesecake. Mark your calendars for the fall/winter season, because their fried pumpkin pie is unlike anything we’ve indulged in before.

The pies at Yoder’s are made fresh from scratch every morning. You can get them by the slice or the whole pie. Yoder’s has become a local tradition and favorite destination for many.  The quality and freshness that began over a million pies ago is still the foundation of our strong customer loyalty and success.  From the time the doors first opened on Main Street, Yoder’s Restaurant has established a culture of hearty portions and quality Amish home cooking, served with friendly service in a family atmosphere.

While Pie Factory is a little out of the way for those of us who hate leaving the Burg, you are gonna want to get out to Largo to experience the true Key West Tradition. Trip’s Diner

2339 Martin Luther King Jr St N., St. Pete

Trip’s is one of the first places we think of when we think of pies. Named after the owners’ triplets, Libby, Will & John, they opened the Diner on March 12, 2012. They strive to be the perfect neighborhood restaurant that offers a variety of simple food. They have different pies on display every day.
