Skating Across Borders returns for its fifth year with a thrilling skateboarding competition at Green Bench Brewery (113 Baum Ave.) from 4pm to 11pm on October 19. The event will feature a mini ramp jam, starting with the kid divisions and gradually moving to more advanced levels, culminating with sponsored and pro riders taking the stage. Those interested in competing can register using the provided link. Pre-registration costs $30, while day-of registration is $35.

Five bands—Glass House Point, Taverns, Pilot Jonezz, Lychee Camp, and Sevenstone—will perform throughout the evening. Additionally, over 40 vendors will line Baum Ave. Event organizers are also bringing some exciting extras, including the Rays’ DJ Kitty, $4,000 in raffle prizes, and a special limited beer release from Ayden Stoefs in collaboration with Green Bench Brewery. Attendees can also purchase event tees and custom-printed skate decks.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Boards for Bros, a Tampa-based nonprofit that provides skate lessons, skateboards, school camps, and opportunities for kids who lack the means to get involved in skateboarding.
