Sunrise Lanes Bowling and Arcade

Sunrise Lanes is a St. Pete staple for indoor family entertainment. Bowling is fun for the pros, but have you ever bowled with a tiny person that thinks they are pro? 10/10 recommend. In addition to bowling, Sunrise Lanes also has an impressive arcade with a variety of games for all ages. This place is clean, houses a cafe with great food, and even has a full bar if you need a celebratory beverage. Tip: Best for ages 3+

Chuck E. Cheese

Chuck E. Cheese is underrated – There, I said it! Sometimes as grown-ups you can visit an old gem and be let down by your expectations from childhood memories. I must say, this fine dining and gaming establishment provides nostalgia that does not disappoint. With modern updates, our local St. Pete Chuck E. Cheese is fun, clean, affordable, has tasty food, and even beer and wine! With games, rides, and even a trampoline area, I can confidently say that Chuck E. Cheese is an excellent choice for entertaining yourself and your kids any day of the week. Tip: Best for ages 1-12 years

Critical Hit

Critical Hit is a community hub for tabletop gamers and their kids who are exploring and growing their interest in board and card games. It offers a welcoming atmosphere, a diverse selection of games, and a strong community focus. The knowledgeable staff is ready to offer guidance and support so young gamers can easily learn game mechanics and strategies without feeling overwhelmed. The store also hosts regular events and tournaments, giving young players opportunities to practice and improve their skills while connecting with others who share their interests. Tip: Best for kids 10+ and their caregivers

Sandbox VR

Sandbox VR is the latest virtual reality gaming experience to land in the Burg. It is definitely the most modern contender on our list and offers state-of-the-art technology that will transport you and your family inside the world of your chosen game. With Sandbox VR, you’re not just exploring new worlds – you are given the chance to become the characters in these worlds. That’s something you can’t do anywhere else! Tip: There is no age limit but participants must be at least 48in tall. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Unlimited Video Games Superstore

Unlimited Video Games is a nostalgic one-stop-shop-and-play arcade, located in Pinellas Park. If you’ve ever wanted to show your kids how to duck hunt, rock out with Guitar Hero, or control a starship in Galaga – this spot is for you. Their retro arcade room is open daily and is sure to take you back to simpler times. For just $8 per person, you can play 30+ classic video game cabinets and a variety of retro and modern gaming consoles. TIP: Best for ages 5+, Under 13 requires adult supervision

Treasure Island Fun Center

Treasure Island Fun Center is definitely a hidden gem of our area. This is a place that I can best describe as a retro-90s-skating rink-arcade meets kid-friendly-casino (in all of the best possible ways). It is NOT in Treasure Island, but it’s most definitely FUN! This giant pirate-themed arcade with games and toddler rides is well worth exploring for kids of all ages. In addition to the arcade, there is a cafe inside with delicious food and sweet treats. Grab your family, escape the rain and heat, and spend a day at the Treasure Island Fun Center! Tip: Best for 2+

Smuggler’s Cove Adventure Golf

Smuggler’s Cove Adventure Golf is one of my personal favorite family outings. From the pirate ship adventures to feeding live alligators, it’s a true Florida family experience. Plan to spend about an hour adventuring past pirate-themed terrain, exploring through echoing tunnels, and answering treasure-revealing riddles along your mini golf journey. This is a family gaming experience you don’t want to skip! Tip: Best for 2+
