In the wake of Hurricanes Milton and Helene, St. Petersburg’s urban canopy took a significant hit. Local nonprofit Take MAR is stepping up with a mission to restore the city’s green spaces by planting 300+ trees, and they need community support to make it happen. With a fundraising goal of $30,000, every donation will directly contribute to revitalizing St. Pete’s environment.

Take MAR’s TREE initiative focuses on long-term success, boasting an impressive 98% tree establishment rate. The organization not only plants trees but also ensures they thrive, dedicating resources to ongoing care and maintenance.

“With your support, we can do more than just add trees,” says Take MAR. “We’re building community stewardship around our plantings, so these trees will thrive for years to come.”

A commitment to transparency and sustainability

What sets Take MAR apart is their dedication to using every dollar effectively. Thanks to an operational grant covering administrative costs, 100% of donations go directly to planting, replanting, and caring for trees.

The campaign is about more than just restoring numbers—it’s about creating a lasting legacy of green spaces and fostering a sense of community stewardship across St. Petersburg.

Help grow a greener St. Pete

With your support, Take MAR can plant and nurture 300 trees that will stand as a robust part of the city’s future. This is a hands-on, community-driven effort to rebuild St. Pete’s natural beauty after the hurricanes.

Join the movement to grow a greener St. Petersburg by donating today. Every dollar counts in creating a sustainable future for Tampa Bay’s environment.
