82 Degrees is a brand new restaurant on the same property as the chic The Saint Hotel on St. Pete Beach. The kitchen is headed up by chefs with experience at the celebrated (and missed) Farmtable Cucina, and the Iberian Rooster.
Situated near Corey Avenue, this restaurant resides near brand new businesses such as Grove Surf and Coffee, La Croisette, Fresh Factory, and CocoAddiction. 82 Degrees and The Saint now join the vibrant sprawl of small businesses on the booming beaches.
Local art and coastal cuisine at 82 Degrees Restaurant
The exterior features a massive vintage postcard-style mural by the prolific Vitale Bros., and the interior features another mural depicting the hotel owners daughter. The decor sets the stage for the type of restaurant 82 Degrees is, a hub for exquisite eats with an altogether laid back and fun atmosphere.
Those who have previously dined at Farmtable Cucina/Locale Market will be delighted to know the legendary Saint PetersBurger is on the menu. The dish includes an 8 oz. patty of ground chuck, short rib and brisket, on a buttered and toasted brioche bun, shredded romaine lettuce tossed in zesty remoulade, bacon, sliced cheddar, caramelized onion, sautéed mushrooms, and a gruyere cheese sauce.
Andrew Silas heads up the kitchen
For Chef Andrew Silas, it’s all about invigorating the food scene. Silas has been a chef in the Bay Area for the past decade. Along with his apprenticeship under Certified Master Chef Sandor Zombori, Andrew has honed his talents under local culinary masterminds such as Ted Dorsey, Marty Blitz, Ferrel Alvarez and other talented culinary giants in the Bay Area
Starters of note include Lobster Bistro Bisque, and an Old World French Onion Soup.
For those with a carnivorous appetite, we recommend you feast your eyes on the Pork Tomahawk. The entree features grilled bone in 14 oz. Duroc porkchop, Anson Mills stone ground grits cake, roasted corn lardons, roasted pearl onions, mushroom demi.
Shrimp and Ahi Tuna Tacos, and fig and prosciutto flatbreads feature on the menu for a breezier meal.
Southern Pork Belly, Coastal Fish and Chips, Shrimp and Grits, and Charred Octopus are also a part of the new culinary gem.
The elevated restaurant and bar offers waterfront views and has wrap around bay windows to provide a fresh breeze on a nice summer day.
The Saint is the new oasis on St. Pete Beach
The Saint and 82 Degrees may be the next great oasis in the Tampa Bay region.
Take advantage of the freshwater pool, or hot tub while being pampered with cool towels and resplendent summer cocktails under the shade provided by Tuuci Umbrellas or just bask in the sun on a Couture Jardine Lounger.
The Saint is now open for reservations. You can view rooms and make a reservation on its website.
