Swing Dance

Tuesday, April 3 at 7p.m. Head over to Sundial’s courtyard for an evening of a free beginner swing dance lesson, followed by an hour of social dancing to jazz.

Coffee with a Curator: Surrealism and Crime
Wednesday, April 4 from 10:30-11:30a.m. Coffee with a Curator is a focused, theme-oriented presentation on a variety of Dali-related topics. The talk is presented by one of The Dali Museum’s Curatorial/Education team or an invited speaker. In this coffee talk, author and editor Margo Hammond examines the surrealists’ connection with crime, including the possibility that their aesthetic theories inspired a real-life crime: the unsolved Black Dahlia murder.

Sip and Shop at Sundial

Thursday, April 5 from 5:30-8:30p.m. Head out to Sundial for their Spring Sip & Shop and check out the season’s newest fashion trends while enjoying complimentary wine & hors-d’oeuvres. This event is free and open to the public 21+, but you must rsvp.  This event will include a DJ, giveaways, special sales, food samples from sundials tenants, and new seasonal trends.

An Opening Reception: Dia de los Muertos: A Celebration of LIfe
Friday, April 6 from 5:30-8:30p.m. Dia de los Muertos celebrates the departed. It is a joyous occasion where we remember and honor our friends and loved ones. You’ll see fantastic Day of the Dead art from artists across the country. They will also have 160 Sugar Skulls made by artists, near and far, as part of a fundraiser for children’s art programming. The Sugar Skulls are an incredible collection of talent with a wide range of styles. If you are in a festive mood, come dressed up for Day of the Dead. Face painting will be available at 4:30 p.m.
