One of Florida’s last orange packing and shipping facilities

Yellow Banks Grove has a rich history dating back to its humble beginnings in 1951. Originally situated in a 500-square-foot building on a century-old hand-laid brick road, “the grove was surrounded by orange trees, and the path led directly to the Gulf of Mexico,” note the owners on their History page. Today, that once quaint road has transformed into a bustling four-lane highway.

From its modest start, Yellow Banks Grove expanded significantly over the years. By 1963, 1966, and 1975, the business had grown from a small building to an impressive 12,000-square-foot packing facility. The pivotal moment in the grove’s history came in 1975 when they installed a juice extractor, revolutionizing their juice production.

A market of sweet Florida delights in Largo

“We can make about 300 gallons of juice an hour,” said John Buck, President and Owner of Yellow Banks Grove in an interview with ABC Action News back in 2021.

While Yellow Banks Grove ships their citrus products nationwide, it pauses shipping orders between June 15 and mid-October. First-time visitors should treat themselves to Yellow Banks’ unique soft serve creamsicle ice cream, a delightful treat made with pure Florida orange juice.
