Grand Central’s go-to foodie spot has been loved for its creative dishes since day one, and now we have 16 more reasons to love them (at least by our count). Wild Child, located at 2710 Central Ave, has unveiled an entirely new menu, giving us double-digit dishes that automatically move up to must-try status.
While the food is new, the style Wild Child has become beloved for remains front and center. Unique Florida-inspired and international dishes still take center stage, and from the Korean BBQ octopus to the “Crying Tiger Ribeye,” intrigue remains at a maximum.

Our only concern when we heard the news was that we might have to say goodbye to the Korean fried chicken sandwich, which may very well be the best chicken sandwich in Tampa Bay. Luckily, it was one of two items from the original menu to make the cut, alongside the tuna tostadas.
It’s hard to pick what to try first on the redesigned menu, with new starters, sandwiches, entrees and even desserts to choose from. To kick things off, we’re eyeing the barbacoa lamb ribs, Peruvian mussels, and perhaps an order of the Oaxaca frita. For the main course, the smash burger certainly sounds appetizing, as do the pan roasted scallops and crispy fish tacos. We also wouldn’t say no to the mushroom and kale paella.
We’ll also be happy to cap off the meal with the Snickers tart – nougat, chocolate ganache, salted peanut caramel, and peanut butter ice cream. The full menu isn’t yet online, so we recommend stopping in for dinner to see the entire thing, and to try any of their excellent cocktails.
Wild Child is open for dinner service from 5-9 pm Wednesday and Thursday, and 5-10 pm Friday and Saturday. They also host a tasty brunch on Sundays from 11 am – 3pm, with a unique brunch menu. Follow Wild Child on Instagram for more updates.
