Vegan seafood is a thing, and it’s delicious. Cider Press Cafe, one of the Burg’s premier vegan restaurants, is hosting the Inaugural Vegan Shrimp and Seafood Festival here in Downtown St. Pete this spring.
The festival begins on May 18 and runs through May 26.

Vegan treats fresh from the “sea”
Everything about this festival is 100% vegan; no shrimp or fish are harmed in the making of these dishes. As a vegetarian who grew up on an island/beach town, your girl is stoked to be able to eat some environmentally friendly seafood.
So what exactly is on the menu at this first-ever event? Menu items include a vegan “Shrimp” cocktail, ceviche, coconut shrimp, phish and chips, hush puppies, a sea-lovers platter and crabby cakes.
Vegan twists on southern classics
Cider Press Cafe’s are having fun crafting vegan dishes like “shrimp” scampi over zoodles and “shrimp and grits.”
