One of the biggest weekends of the year for the University of South Florida has arrived. USF Homecoming 2023 takes place all across Tampa Bay this weekend, culminating in the big football game against in-state foe Florida Atlantic on Saturday, October 14 at 3:30 pm in Raymond James Stadium.

Tickets for the big game are on sale now as the Bulls return to their home turf following a two-game road trip. The return to Tampa comes at a perfect time in USF’s schedule, as first-year head coach Alex Golesh has his team exceeding expectations and hitting the midway point of his inaugural campaign at 3-3 overall, including a 2-1 conference record.

Under Golesh’s new high-tempo offense, freshman quarterback Byrum Brown has become a surprise sensation, taking the AAC by storm. The young star has shined, passing for 247 yards per game and rushing for another 78 yards per outing. Brown has even gone deep as a receiver, accounting for 18 total touchdowns more than 2,000 yards all told, while holding a passer rating of 134.59 after six games of action.

With six games remaining, the race is on Brown and his Bulls to get USF back in the postseason for the first time since the 2018 Gasparilla Bowl. To even be having this conversation at this point in the year is a testament to the direction Golesh has the program going.

With a new stadium on the horizon and a win total that already matches the last two seasons combined, the future is bright for USF football. The next step in that journey takes place Saturday in Tampa as thousands swarm the city for Homecoming, reuniting friends and family in Green and Gold. Tickets to the game are available here.

As you make plans for Homecoming, don’t miss the Homecoming Carni-Bull on Friday, October 13 from 5-11 pm in USF parking lot #35, which includes the annual Running of the Bulls Parade at 6:30 pm along Holly Drive, Genshaft Drive and Alumni Drive. The USF St. Pete campus is also hosting a Glow in the Dark Arcade night on Friday from 6-9 pm in the USC Ballroom.

After this Saturday, USF’s two remaining home games are the Salute to Service game vs Temple on November 11, and the Fan Appreciation Game in the regular season finale against Charlotte on November 25.
