Time to enter the Vortex. Yes, St. Pete, there’s a new game bar in town. It’s brimming with your favorite craft brews and the old school arcade games and pinball machines that ate all of the quarters of your youth.
Vortex hosted its grand opening St. Patrick’s Day weekend, and has since delighted beer and game enthusiasts. Their collection of games doesn’t just exist in the digital world. Vortex also boasts a bulky board game collection.

Arcade and board game classics on display
Don’t worry, they’re treated with care — no missing cards or pieces, we promise. Upcoming events include jukebox bingo on April 25. This game involves watching music videos and listen to music and mark off your songs on the bingo card. It’s free to play, but there are prizes for the winners.
Vortex is tucked away from the bustle of downtown St. Pete. Located at 2329 28th Street North, this game bar is pleasant retreat from Central Avenue. On their shelves is a Simpson’s chess set, What Do You Meme?, Balderdash, Monopoly and Life, among other classics.
