The Candle Pour, a DIY candle workshop that first opened in Tampa in 2019, will open its second location in St. Pete at 1128 Central Avenue on July 26. Owners Misty and Dennis Akers made the announcement on Instagram.
This new St. Pete spot will include ample seating and space for large groups and private events. Initially, the owners were expecting to debut this space in the spring of 2022. Certain delays had that debut pushed back, but it seems its only ramped up the communities excitement for the concept’s opening.

The Candle Pour expands into the Sunshine City
Misty says that it will resemble The Candle Pour experience so many love in Hyde Park Village, but the space will also feature a signature St. Pete scent.
“We want our locations to be a reflection of the community they’re in,” said Misty in a phone call with I Love the ‘Burg.
The process in their shop only takes about 45 minutes for all products. Once your candle is poured, it will need to set for 2 hours before it is ready to go home (most of their flameless options can be taken with you immediately).
Candle Pour is also available for private functions. You can see a full list of workshops, and reservation options on their website. If you can’t wait for next week, then visit their workshop in Hyde Park Village at 1619 W Snow Circle.
