The ‘Burg’s Got America’s Talent

Bill Edwards’ Big3 just scheduled a lot more national air time for beautiful St. Petersburg. Auditions for the Tampa Bay’s leg of America’s Got Talent will be filmed at the Mahaffey Theater on April 3 and 4. The show, which attracts almost 10 million viewers on an average night, is a Gong Show-like format, with the audience chiming in and the judges substituting buzzers for the gong.

Scott Schecter, Vice President of Big3, says Howard Stern will join NIck Cannon, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel at the venue on the water for the show. Tickets to the shows will be FREE and available on the America’s Got Talent Website. 

Unfortunately, the ‘Burg has already lost one chance for its closeup. The show’s website, at the time of this writing, stated that the April tour dates would be filmed in Tampa.
