The Burg's business and culinary scenes have been on the rise over the last few months. Local staples have expanded while fresh faces have helped elevate the palate of the Burg. This summer, the ambitious and bold mixed-use project called Station House caused a fit of excitement.
The project will feature a basement restaurant/lounge, a second floor equipped with WiFi, juice, coffee and tea shops. There will be comfortable seating inviting residents to kill a few hours studying for a test, prepping a business presentation, or relaxing after a long run/walk through the city. There will be two luxury suites on the top (fifth) floor. The Iron Yard, a renowned tech school will be on the third floor and inbetween the two will be 4,500 square feet of co work space with conference rooms, offices, showers, a community kitchen, a lecture hall and an extra 2,000 square foot terrace for events and outdoor meeting.

The restaurant is about 4-6 weeks away from its soft-opening. While we wait for the Burg's latest gourmet dining spot to open, we have some new details that should whet your appetite.
For those going through Cafe Alma Sunday Bloody Mary bar withdrawal, you'll be relieved to hear that Station House will continue the tradition with Bloody Marys and mimosas. Though what's most important is what winds up on the plate.

The Station House has hired renowned chef Justin Sells to actualize the Station House's vision of American Cocktail Cuisine. Sells formerly worked for Emeril at Emeril's Orlando. Before his time in Orlando, Sells was the chef de cuisine at Snake River Grill at L'Auberge du Lac Casino Resort in Lake Charles, LA.
His culinary background mixes the fiery flavors of the southeast with the simple, pastoral fare found in the northwest. Chef Sells has spent some time cooking in New Orleans which adds a bit of boldness to his resume.
The eclectic and the elegant, the innovative and the timeless, the Station House proves to be an exciting capsule meant to preserve the future of St. Pete.
