Small Batch Creamery has become our go-to for ice cream since opening in the summer of 2022, and this summer they’re making things even sweet for St. Pete. The ice cream shop announced it is hosting a massive 2nd anniversary party this Thursday, June 27, and they’ll be giving out free ice cream to all who come by for the celebration.
Located at 5530 4th Street North, Small Batch Creamery has become a local favorite for bringing delectable scratch-made ice cream and baked goodies to the neighborhood. From 6-8 pm on Thursday, all guests can enjoy one free scoop of their famous small-batch ice cream in a waffle cone or cup as part of the anniversary extravaganza. With flavors like Brownie Batter, Grannies Banana Pudding and Pelican Tracks to choose from, there’s something tasty for everyone to celebrate with.
The 2nd anniversary celebration will also feature fun activities for the whole family, including face painting, balloon animals, and a live DJ spinning tunes. It’s the perfect way to beat the summer heat and celebrate a local favorite alongside neighbors and friends. There will also be a special celebration with the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce taking place from 4:30-6 pm, open to Chamber members and invited guests. See the full schedule of events below.

Offering artisan ice cream and “bakery quality” desserts like cookies and brownies, Small Batch Creamery is an eclectic, funky and welcoming spot. Ice cream is available by the scoop, bowl, cones, or as a milkshake, and their variety of flavors provide something for every palate. And for those really looking for something special, the ice cream tacos are a delight – a crispy, taco-shaped waffle cone filled with scoops of ice cream and your choice of toppings. Mercy, grab a napkin.
Chief among Small Batch Creamery’s priorities is the ice cream parlor’s commitment to freshness and quality. Ownership taste tested over and over until finding the perfect base. Every single scoop is made from scratch in small batches using an on-site mixer, complete with fresh ingredients added in to create the tasty flavors.
Sticking to their promise of “creating smiles one scoop at a time,” the ice cream shop is open seven days a week. Catch them at their listed hours of Monday-Thursday from 12:30-9:30 pm, and Friday-Sunday from 11:30 am – 10:30 pm. The friendly staff (and it’s often the owner behind the ice cream bar) will help anyone find the right flavor for them.
