Rio Grande Churrascaria, a popular Brazilian steakhouse from Miami, is opening a new location in Seminole at 6864 Seminole Blvd. The restaurant will bring its signature rodizio-style grill to Southwest Florida, offering a vibrant atmosphere, lively service, and a full cocktail bar. An official opening timeline is still TBA. We’ll update this story as more details become available.
What is Rodizio-style grilling? It’s an all-you-can-eat dining experience where, instead of everything being pre-cooked and kept under heat lamps, waiters bring freshly cooked, skewered meats directly to your table and carve them onto your plate. The waiters continue serving until you decide you’ve had enough.

Rio Grande Churrascaria offers authentic Brazilian-style cuts of meat, including picanha (a triangular cut of beef from the rump), churrasco (skirt steak, known as the beef plate primal cut), lamb shanks, pork loin, chicken breast, chicken leg, and chicken hearts. With a vast selection and endless portions, it’s a paradise for meat lovers.
All-you-can-eat for brunch, lunch, and dinner
Rio Grande Churrascaria serves brunch (Saturday and Sunday, 11am–4pm), Lunch (Monday–Friday, 11am–4pm), and dinner (Monday–Sunday 4pm–10pm). Dinner and brunch cost $39.99 per person, offering the largest selection of meats, fillets, and shrimp. Lunch costs $25.99 per person, with a slightly leaner menu that doesn’t include shrimps of fillets.
Besides the savory cuts of meat, the self-service salad bar is equipped with mozzarella and tomatoes, beans and rice, mixed greens, dressings, and tons of freshly cut fruit, which I use as a hydrating, palate cleanser before I tear down another round of sliced meats.
Rio Grand Churrascaria states, “Every visit is a celebration of good food and great times. Our expert chefs carefully select each ingredient to ensure an unmatched culinary experience from succulent meats to fresh and delicious sides.”
They also operate Bahia in Tampa, and Lena, and El Churrasco Food Truck.
