School is out, and baseball is in. The Tampa Bay Rays announced a new deal that gives $9 tickets to college students with a valid .edu email address, and interested students can register here.

The offer applies to all Monday-Thursday home games at Tropicana Field through the remainder of the regular season, limited to two tickets per person per game. Student tickets are for the standing room only areas spread throughout the stadium, including the Budweiser Porch (home of the stadium’s biggest bar and several great food options), Ballpark & Rec, and the Rays Party Deck in left field.

Interested students simply sign up with their school email address, and every Monday of applicable weeks, they will receive their ticket offers for that week’s games. The next college student ticket offers are coming during the Rays’ three-game homestand against the New York Yankees next Monday-Wednesday, June 20-22.

Giveaway nights coming to The Trop

And for students 21+, don’t forget that draft beers are only $5 at Ballpark & Rec for the two hours leading up to first pitch of every game. Pair it with one of the half dozen new food items the Rays introduced this season (our favorite is the foot-long tater tot) or take it on a stroll through the new in-stadium Rays Museum.

In addition to the new food, drinks and museum, the Rays marketing and promotions team is also hosting some exciting giveaways this season of what will surely become collector’s items. On June 21, they are giving away a fantastic Mike Zunino “Florida Man” bobblehead presented by Bally Sports Sun, complete with jean shorts and an alligator, a tip of the cap to his college playing days at the University of Florida.

Perhaps our favorite giveaway comes on July 30 when Crown Automotive Group presents a Brett Phillips throwback Devil Rays basketball jersey. That one is certain to be a hot ticket.
