This just in! iLovetheBurg/Downtown St. Pete just found out that one of our favorite BBQ joints in the ‘Burg, Preacher’s BBQ, is closing…TEMPORARILY that is! Whew! We were almost worried for a second there.
According to the son of the owner, their lease at the location is up and they do not plan on renewing it. However, they do plan to open up a new place around the same neighborhood with possibly a food truck component to it similar to Taco Bus perhaps.
Preacher’s BBQ plans to re-open again in 2 months while they take a much needed and well deserved vacation before then. Announcements on the new location and exact dates to follow. So stay tuned!
The joint will have its last day this Saturday, August 25th. So make sure you get your BBQ fix before they close for a good while. Preacher’s BBQ is located at 1040 4th St. N.
