The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival is a must‑see Florida event that celebrates art, community, and the natural beauty of Clearwater Beach. This year, it will be held at 1 Causeway Blvd. from April 11 to 27.
The Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit has expanded to 24,000 square feet, showcasing even more incredible sand sculptures. The best part? An augmented reality experience brings these masterpieces to life, offering a new way to appreciate the art.

17 professional sand sculptors arrive in Clearwater Beach
Presented by Visit St. Pete-Clearwater, the festival highlights the work of 17 professional sand sculptors from around the world. These talented artists transform the famous sugar sand into stunning sculptures that are sure to leave you in awe.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival offers much more than sand art. Enjoy free sand sculpting classes, live music, fireworks, and an array of food vendors and artisans. Pier 60 Park also features a Ferris wheel and other amusements for extra thrills—nothing beats a sunset view from the top of the Ferris wheel.
Giant dinosaurs and lovely Ferris wheel views
This year’s theme, “Dinoshores: Prehistoric Adventure in Sand,” will transport you back to a world of giant sand dinosaurs. The expanded exhibit will feature jaw‑dropping sculptures that bring these ancient creatures to life. Thanks to augmented reality and projection mapping, you can watch the dinosaurs stomp, roar, and move right before your eyes.
