Ooza Palooza brings a grilled cheese and tater tot fest to St. Pete on Saturday

You cheddar believe it – the cheesiest event of the year is coming to town this weekend. The Ooza Palooza Grilled Cheese and Tater Tot Festival is a free event taking over Albert Whitted Park This Saturday, June 17 from 5-10 pm.

For those who love indulgent eats, it’s sure to be one of the mozz exciting events of the summer. Presented by the Gulf to Bay Food Truck Association, Ooza Palooza will showcase tons of gourmet food trucks who will prepare specialty grilled cheese and tater tots dishes, in addition to their usual menus.

Plus, there will be a dessert court, a craft beer garden, a live DJ, as well as a kids zone with face painting, balloon artists and a playground. In addition to all the food and drink, there will be local vendors on hand for an artisan market.

Attendance is free, pet friendly, and open to all ages. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to relax and enjoy food and drink on St. Pete’s beautiful downtown waterfront.

From event organizers: “Celebrate one of the greatest childhood classics, the infamous Grilled Cheese with local food trucks serving up the gooey, melty, cheesy goodness paired with delicious brew from the beer garen. Apart from the cheesy ooze, we’ll also have live music, fun games and activities in the kids zone, and some awesome vendors and artists to keep you entertained all day long.”
