New Year’s Eve is looking bright in St. Pete. The city announced it will hold its annual fireworks show to ring in the New Year, complete with an all-night party on the St. Pete Pier. The fireworks will, of course, be visible from anywhere along St. Pete’s downtown waterfront, beginning at 12 am on January 1.

The NYE on The Pier celebration kicks off at 8 pm in Spa Beach Park on December 31, a free celebration open to all. The electric party features DJs, a giant disco ball, an LED wall and more to light up the party all night. There will also be food trucks, full bars, games, and a champagne bar to toast the New Year.

The fireworks show will last approximately 20 minutes, launching from Vinoy Park and visible throughout the area. NYE on The Pier runs from 8 pm – 12:30 am. Parking in the area is likely to be scarce, so be sure to check out our guide to parking downtown, or take the SunRunner to downtown.

In addition to the great food available daily at the St. Pete Pier, some of our favorite local food trucks will be rolling up for the fun, including Maggie on the Move and Main Street Boys Homemade Empanadas. Of note, the fireworks are on rain or shine, though they could potentially be delayed or started early if needed. Dogs are allowed on the pier for the event, though we of course encourage all to consider if their pups might be afraid of the fireworks from that close.
