While Oktoberfest gets the headlines, the German holiday’s spring cousin is one the world’s oldest and most joyful traditions. On Saturday, May 20, the German American Society of Pinellas County is hosting an all-day Maifest celebration in its beautiful biergarten.
Festivities are open to the public ($5 admission, or $3 for members) and take place from 12-7 pm at 8098 66th St N in Pinellas Park. The full of afternoon of celebration will include traditional Maifest fare and activities, with singing, dancing, juggling, live music, a vendor village, and of course, plenty of German food and beer.
