A seven-time Grammy nominee, Porter remains one of the world’s most successful male modern Jazz/Soul vocalists. Throughout his career, Porter has collaborated with such artists as Disclosure, Stevie Wonder, DJ Claptone, Sam Smith, and Jeff Goldblum. His most recent album was released in 2020.
As the host, Alex Harris will also perform, showcasing his celebrated talents. Harris is a Cross the Line Music/ Orchard – Sony Music Entertainment recording artist and an R&B/Soul singer/songwriter. His Billboard hit single, ‘Falling for You,’ was recognized in USA Today’s Top 40 R&B singles on Billboard in North America.
LIVE ON CENTRAL to bring unique live music experience
Hosted by Alex Harris, LIVE ON CENTRAL will offer a new take and personality on St. Pete’s music scene, showcasing local talent while also bringing in nationally and globally recognized acts like Porter.

“LIVE ON CENTRAL is more than a live music series,” Harris said. “It is the beginning of a new era for live music concerts in our eclectic funky artistic community.”
LIVE ON CENTRAL intends to amplify a part of the Burg’s artistic culture in a way it has not been promoted or celebrated – giving St. Petersburg its own live music cultural identity in the global music market. The unique and intimate series will allow the audience to experience some of St. Pete’s local “raw talents,” while also engaging with featured performing artists in an intimate
and inspiring environment.
The LIVE ON CENTRAL music series will not only celebrate and amplify a unique live music experience for its attendees but also benefit the Arts Conservatory for Teens’ Creative Workforce Development programming for pre-professionals in the local community, a local nonprofit organization connecting youth to the performing arts.
