Cafe Mozart

Cafe Mozart is a European cafe bakery with more than 40 years experience in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Their love of food is evident in every single decadent pastry. The independent business was started by the Hipl family, who moved to St. Pete from Switzerland in 1998.
Baker Hipfl was born in Austria, this is also where he mastered his craft. He worked in bakeries in Austria, Germany and Switzerland before opening his own Bakery in Zermatt, Switzerland, and finally coming to Florida in 1998.

“All of our products are proudly made on the premises with only the finest ingredients, imported from Europe. We Add No Artificial Colors or Preservatives,” the owners note on the Cafe Mozart website.
This family bakes daily, so every artfully crafted pastry you see is prepared that day.
The menu includes European breads, cakes and pastries. You’d do well to take home a famous Vienna Apple Strudel.
German Knodle

This small restaurant is serving up some amazing and bold authentic fare — bratwurst, weisswurst and more. It’s no wonder it found itself on Yelp’s radar.
It earns high marks across the board from diners who revel in the great service, handmade pastries, and intimate atmosphere.
Give in to the knodle, folks. Do yourselves a favor and indulge in the white chocolate and coconut flavor. The treats are small boiled dumplings that come in sweet and savory varieties. Other items of note include the German beef burger and the homemade German macarons.

This family-owned and operated business features a huge menu. But if we had to boil it down to two treats we crave, it would be the apple strudel and the almond horns.
Owner Jacqueline Goldstein — along with her brother, Julian Goldstein — brings five generations of baking tradition to the ‘Burg area. Goldstein comes from a Bavarian family, and the love that is put into each pastry is evident.
The apple strudel is a mammoth delight that’s tailor-made for the fall season. Of course there’s more to enjoy here.
Feast your eyes on rows of fresh baked German-style sourdough bread, sugar dusted waffles, cinnamon rolls, plum and cherry danishes, apple twists, potato pancakes and more. Items vary day by day, so make sure to follow Mama G’s on Instagram to see what this hidden gem is whipping up.
Goldstein also whips up special lunch items available on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays like their famous jägerschnitzel.

Berlins Doener

Berlins Doener is a celebrated German restaurant in the burgeoning Skyway Marina District. But what is a Doener (Döner)?
The Döner is a delicious, healthy, fast-food alternative. It has 550 calories and incorporates all the food groups. (The Döner’s basic ingredients consist of beef-lamb mix or chicken with fresh tomato, onion, cucumber, marinated white and red cabbage with a choice of sauce).
In addition to Döner food items, the restaurant also serves a variety of traditional favorite German Dishes such as Schnitzel Wiener Art, currywurst and Wurstplatte.
There’s also a selection of 16 Imported German Beers on tap and a variety of Western European fine wines.
