Gateway Subs, which just celebrated its two-year anniversary, has become an under-the-radar star in its two locations over that span. Now, the fantastic sandwich shop has opened a third location, this one at 5931 4th Street North, directly across from LA Fitness.

The new store began welcoming hungry guests over the weekend, and has its official grand opening celebration this Wednesday, December 6. Beginning when they open at 10 am, the first 100 customers in line will receive a free hoagie as part of the festivities.

Gateway Subs earned its following through its massive and creative sub sandwiches, along with their penchant for topping their artisan sandwiches with crushed kettle chips (which we highly recommend). The store also dishes up great salads, vegan shakes, and coffee.

Stars of the menu at the Kenwood location, 3112 3^rd Ave N, include their Spicy Italian, the Salad Sammy, and the Big Beach which comes stuffed with roast beef, ham, turkey, provolone, lettuce, onion, tomato and mayo. And of course, diners are welcome to build their own sandwiches using any of the many ingredients and toppings available.

Our go-to is The Brycer, a multi-napkin experience of a fresh hoagie roll piled with buffalo chicken, buffalo chicken salad, provolone, hot and sweet peppers, crumbled jalapeno chips, spicy ranch, and hot garlic buffalo sauce.
