Flower Child, the popular health-focused restaurant, is bringing its made-from-scratch meals to Florida for the first time. The fast-casual eatery is now open in Lakewood Ranch at 6532 University Parkway. Yes, it’s a trek—but from what we hear, it’s well worth the drive from St. Pete.
Founded by eleven-time James Beard Award-nominated restaurateur Sam Fox, Flower Child is known for its fresh, customizable menu that caters to all lifestyles. From nutrient-packed bowls to mix-and-match veggies and proteins, the restaurant has built a loyal following with its commitment to wholesome eating.

“We’ve been looking for the right opportunity to bring Flower Child to Florida, and Sarasota is the perfect place,” said Fox. “With its focus on wellness, active living, and a strong sense of community, we can’t wait to be part of this incredible city and provide a space where people can gather and enjoy flavorful, nourishing meals.”
Vegan and paleo options are on the menu at Flower Child
Flower Child’s menu offers something for everyone—whether vegetarian, vegan, paleo, or just seeking a fresh and satisfying meal. Fan-favorite dishes include the Mother Earth Bowl, packed with ancient grains, sweet potato, avocado, broccoli pesto, and red pepper miso vinaigrette.
The gluten-free mac and cheese, made with aged white cheddar and parmesan, has become a crowd-pleaser. The chicken enchiladas, featuring guajillo chile, smoked gouda, and poblano cream, offer bold flavors. The Flying Avocado wrap, loaded with smoked turkey, gouda, and avocado hummus, is another go-to pick.
The Lakewood Ranch space features Flower Child’s signature airy design, creating a comfortable setting for guests to connect over nourishing meals. The restaurant offers dine-in and patio seating, along with catering services.
