The Floridian Social (687 Central Ave) is set to host its second-ever hot dog eating contest on July 4. Event organizers boast, “Only the mightiest glizzy gladiator will seize victory and claim the coveted title of the 2024 Hot Dog Eating Champion.”

Last year’s winner housed 18 hot dogs in 10 minutes (just so this year’s competitors know the level of competition they should be ready for).

The champion will walk away with a $500 prize, along with the glory of being the top dog in the ‘Burg. Following the contest, DJ Hogie will keep the Independence Day festivities alive with an exclusive “butt rock” set.

The event kicks off at 4pm with the hot dog eating contest scheduled for 5pm. Admission is free with RSVP, and those interested in participating can email Steph at Steph@thefloridiansocial.com.

Please note that the venue is restricted to guests aged 21 and over. While the general admission area is standing room only, bar seating on the first floor is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn more on the official event page.
