Florida Suncoast Tiny Home Festival makes major return to Tampa Bay this March

The Florida Suncoast Tiny Home Festival makes its major returns this March. The celebration of a more minimalistic, sustainable lifestyle attracts some of the top Tiny Home Builders in the state to showcase what life inside a tiny home can be like. These ingenious structures celebrate a repudiation of the ties that bind, and uplift the call of adventure. If you couldn’t tell, I’m kind of sold on the tiny home life.

The festival, organized by LocalShops1, features the latest and greatest in tiny home living trends! In addition to the tiny structures, the festival brings a lineup of more than two dozen leading experts in the Tiny House movement.

Kid- and dog-friendly outdoor event!

This event is totally family-friendly, too. There will be activities for kids, in addition to the best food trucks in the region, mobile boutiques, artist pop ups, and home improvement experts. Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome at the event, but they won’t be allowed to walk inside the tiny homes.

So, what qualifies as a tiny home?

Tiny houses are homes typically sized under 500 square feet, and sometimes as small as 100 square feet, and can be on wheels, for mobility, or built on foundation. Most of these homes are outfitted with only the necessities, though you’d be shocked to see the aesthetic appeal so many of them boast.

More than 30 tiny homes on display

Altogether, more than 30 Tiny Structures are expected at the festival. Yea, this event may just sway you to abandon that rental, and move into something a bit cozier.

More than 5,000(!) people are expected at the third annual festival throughout the weekend, many traveling from throughout the state and even across the country.

A weekend-long celebration

Admission includes full access to the festival grounds, where guests will get to explore the Tiny Homes and speak directly with the homeowners and builders. Admission also includes access to all the presentations, with topics including zoning, building regulations, decluttering your home, living green and much more.
