Full moons are a natural time to reflect. They are a monthly opportunity to look at what has been working in your life and what has not. The full moon in September is known as the Harvest Moon and is the last full moon before moving into the autumn season. Soundbaths are a meditative experience that help the practitioner ease into relaxation by using sounds and vibrations. “Chakra” is the Sanskrit word for “wheel.” In the Hindu concept of the physical and subtle bodies, seven main energetic wheels (chakras) run along the spine, and each holds its own characteristics and qualities.
In this session, you will be guided through a gentle breath practice to ground into the space, and a meditation on each chakra. You will “illuminate” each chakras with awareness, breath, and with aligned sound and light therapy. You will have time to reflect on your life as a whole, considering which seeds you would like to nurture and which seeds you no longer need to water. There will be time here for optional journaling and some prompts will be provided.
The session will close with a long savasana meditation and soundbath. There will be time at the end of class to journal, sit and meditate, converse/connect, and ask questions.
Bring a journal and pen, comfy clothes, a water bottle, and some crystals (if you’re into that). You will be resting on a yoga mat and using props for support. If you have extra props to help yourself get comfortable, please bring those as well. The goal is to be as comfortable as possible to experience relaxation and sound to the fullest.
