An oasis for the arts, Drew Marc Studios is St. Pete’s must-visit artist collective

The exterior of a building

We love every chance we get to celebrate local art here in St. Pete, and the incredible collection of artists at Drew Marc Studios has made the gallery an absolute must-visit in the Warehouse Arts District. Housed in Building 8 of The Factory (2606 Fairfield Avenue South), Drew Marc Studios provides a collaborative, gallery-focused environment where artists gain exposure and professional development in a thriving creative community.

While the beautiful murals adorning the facades of buildings throughout the city are easy to find and appreciate, we love discovering hidden gems like Drew Marc Studios that showcase a variety of talented artists and mediums. This weekend’s Second Saturday Art Walk is the perfect opportunity to get a peek at what these local artists are creating every day.

Drew Marc Studios is currently home to four supremely talented creators – Judith Lavendar, Patricia Tierney-Moses, José Muhammad, and Jeff Ryan – who have proven themselves to be some of the most compelling artistic voices in the region, attracting collectors and art enthusiasts from all across Florida.

Founded by Andrew Trujillo, the visionary behind Drew Marc Gallery in South Tampa, Drew Marc Studios creates a collaborative, gallery-focused environment where artists gain exposure and professional development in a thriving creative community. As of now, there are still three studio spaces available for artists looking for that level of support.

Drew Marc Studios is a creative hub for local artists

Drew Marc Studios isn’t just a workspace—it’s a launchpad for artists looking to refine their craft and build their careers. Under Andrew Trujillo’s guidance, artists receive mentorship, marketing insights, and exhibition opportunities that set them apart in the competitive fine art world. Unlike traditional studios, Drew Marc Studios offers a unique artist development program, equipping creatives with the tools to succeed in galleries and the wider art market.

As part of this initiative, all artists at Drew Marc Studios receive an annual exhibition at Drew Marc Gallery in South Tampa—a prestigious opportunity to gain significant exposure.

For artists seeking a thriving creative community and expert guidance, Drew Marc Studios currently has three studio spaces available for rent. These private, fully equipped studios offer a long list of benefits, including 24/7 access for unrestricted creative freedom; Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, back storage, and a refrigerator; hands-on mentorship from Andrew Trujillo in marketing, branding, and professional development; and a supportive network of talented artists dedicated to growth and success.

Explore transcendent local creations

While we look forward to seeing the next talented artists to join the booming art collective, we’re thrilled to get another look this weekend at the what the four artists at Drew Marc Studios have been working on lately.

Judith Lavendar, a Michigan-born artist, is renowned for her narrative-driven, multi-figured paintings that explore social and political themes with humor and depth. With a career spanning decades, her figurative storytelling evokes powerful emotions, reflecting her artistic evolution since the 1960s.

Patricia Tierney-Moses, who has lived across four continents, is celebrated for her masterful portraiture infused with pop culture, water motifs, and current events. Her City Skyline series has garnered attention for its vibrant, layered compositions blending realism with contemporary aesthetics.

José Muhammad, a St. Pete-based artist, merges photography and fine art to create bold, lifelike works like Urban Mosaic. His ability to capture human emotion and urban landscapes makes his work a staple in local collections.

Jeff Ryan, a Cincinnati native now based in Florida, is a mixed-media artist whose innovative sculptural approach to abstract painting involves layering plaster and acrylics to create strikingly textured compositions. His work represents personal and artistic evolution, engaging audiences with depth and dimension.
