Straz Center for the Performing Arts continues to deliver top-tier shows in our region. Residents and visitors can now step into the world of The Choir of Man, hailed as the ultimate feel-good spectacle that serves up 90 minutes of pure, unadulterated joy. Performances will run through December 10, and you can reserve tickets on the Straz Center’s website.
It’s not just a show; it’s a rollicking party, a concert, and the pub lock-in of your dreams. This show’s got everything from pop to classic rock, folk to Broadway hits. The word “immersive” gets thrown around a lot these days, but The Choir of Man is one spectacle that truly embodies the term.
The Straz’s Jaeb Theater has been transformed into a pub called “The Jungle,” with a dynamic crew of nine talented lads belting out hair-raising harmonies, leading foot-stomping singalongs, and delivering world-class tap dance performances. And as if that’s not enough, there’s a live bar on stage pouring free pints, courtesy of Coppertail Brewing Co. Get ready to toast to a night of unforgettable entertainment.
A wild musical with a full working pub on stage
The Jungle has a working pub on stage that serves free beer courtesy of Coppertail Brewing Co. The cast will be serving up the pints at their discretion during the start of the show. Anyone who appears to be under the legal drinking age will be asked to present a photo ID for age verification, just as in other pubs and bars.
Guests in orchestra level seating can scan the QR code at their table to order refreshments directly on their phone using the theatre’s newly piloted program. Don’t worry about getting up; performers will bring the order to you. Service will conclude five minutes prior to the show’s start.
Guests are encouraged to sing along with songs, and may even be brought on stage. Pictures and videos are encouraged as well. This is a show designed for joyous good fun. Reserve your tickets now on Straz Center’s website.
