The BayCare Sound, the stunning new attraction in Clearwater, has been showcasing incredible acts since the first day the highly-anticipated music venue opened on the waterfront, and the momentum from day one has only grown with each new concert hosted at the sparkling facility. Now, as we dream of warmer days ahead, The BayCare Sound has announced another string of amazing shows taking the stage this spring and summer.
Two headliners from their 2025 spring lineup have us particularly excited as the venue will host Best New Artist nominee Khruangbin on April 18, and will have cult favorites Rainbow Kitten Surprise taking the stage on June 18. Tickets to both just went on sale, so we highly recommend snagging your tickets now before your preferred spots fill up. As of publish time, tickets from the pit to the lawn and everywhere in between were still available.
Khruangbin plays at The BayCare Sound on Friday, April 18 at 8 pm. The Grammy-nominated band will arrive as part of their A LA SALA 2025 Tour, featuring special guest Helado Negro. An alt-indie sensation, Khruangbin earned a 2024 Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, though many who consider themselves ardent fans have been following their work for much longer.
The Houston-based trio is celebrated for its accessible and intoxicating blend of global genres “steeped in the bass-heavy, psychedelic sound of their inspiration: Tarantino soundtracks and surf-rock cool.” Get tickets to Khruangbin at The BayCare Sound here.
Meanwhile, Rainbow Kitten Surprise has been a cult favorite for more than a decade. RKS took the indie rock scene by storm with their first two albums in 2013 and 2015, and in the 11+ years since, the alternative group has garnered more than 2 billion online streams across the world.
In May 2024, Rainbow Kitten Surprise released their first album in six years, Love Hate Music Box. The record received immediate praise from fans and critics alike, earning rave reviews from outlets such as Billboard, Consequence, Paste, and more. Clearwater will be one of the first stops for their 2025 Thanks For Coming Tour, following a gigantic 2024 tour that included sold out shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York, and two nights at the iconic Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
